Description

Gilded metal and enamel badge shaped in a five point star enclosed within chain link. A light blue enamel circle with the text 'EX-P.O.W. & RELATIVES ASS'N' flanks a smaller dark blue enamel circle bordered with barbed wire and bearing the text 'EX- / P.O.W. / R.A.'. A separate circular piece of gilded metal with the number '69' in green enamel to indicate the year of paid membership has been attached to the base of the badge. '2960' is stamped on the reverse.

History / Summary

Associated with VX52218 Corporal Donald Francis Graham, 8 Australian Division Signals. He enlisted on 27 March 1941 in Royal Park, Victoria. He was taken prisoner in Singapore on 17 February 1942 and was kept as a Prisoner of War in Osaka, Japan. He was discharged on 21 December 1945.
