Associated with the First World War service of 365 Corporal Hassell Marsden Harding Kendall, 31 Battalion, AIF. He enlisted on 21 July 1915 and served in France where he was killed in action on 19 July 1916, aged 21. He is buried in Fromelles (Pheasant Wood) Military Cemetery, France.
