A Department of Information propaganda film produced by the Netherlands East Indies Film Unit on the Allied invasion of Japanese occupied Morotai. The Morotai Task Force comprised of United States Army and Navy ground, sea and air forces and units of the Royal Australian Navy. The RAN ships participating were the heavy cruisers HMAS Australia and HMAS Shropshire, the destroyers HMAS Arunta and HMAS Warramanga and the Landing Ships Infantry HMAS Westralia, HMAS Kanimbla and HMAS Manoora. Scenes include, the embarkation of the US Army infantry and vehicles aboard LCI's, LST's and LCT's. Ships of the Task Force at sea filmed from aboard HMAS Westralia and HMAS Australia. Shows crew activities aboard HMAS Westralia. Commodore John Collins directing operations from HMAS Australia.
