Blamey farewells troops
Description
These pictures were requested by the GOC, Sir Thomas Blamey to be added to a special film made up of Parer's and Bagnall's. Shots taken show Sir Thomas Blamey and an unidentified Brigadier inspecting ammunition and supplies being loaded for the front line. Also troops climbing aboard air liner. This is going on continuously. Then plane taking off, with Sir Thomas Blamey in foreground. Shots around ambulance were not so hot. All the men were inside, they had just returned from the front line and were a very sick bunch. They were already on the ambulance when we got there, so could not get them out again. (adapted from cameraman's dope sheet)
