Forde visits Darwin
Description
Mr Francis Michael Forde, Minister of the Army, accompanied by the Adjutant General, Major General Charles Edward M Lloyd CBE, visits the Darwin area. Mr Forde and Major General Lloyd are greeted on their arrival by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Northern Territory Force, Major General Arthur Samuel (Tubby) Allen CB CBE DSO VD. Mr Forde, with the GOC, inspects a parade of the 13th Australian Infantry Brigade and takes the salute at the march past. Mr Forde also inspects other units and Lines of Communication (L of C). Shots of Mr Forde talking to RAAF Sergeant Jack Curtin, son of the then Prime Minister of Australia.
