Description
Burma, Akyab Island and Rangoon, Burma. Ruins, railway station. Dust storm at RAF base. Activities at base relaxation, washing and messing. Maintenance flight at work on Doglas C-47 Dakota transport aircfat. Dakotas on metal airstrip and take- offs. Bombed bridge, railway lines and rolling stock. The first parachute drops on Rangoon, the Shwe Dagon Pagoda, the chief landmark of Rangoon beside which these drops were made. Rangoon street scenes. Burmese girls making paper bags out of five and ten rupee notes.
