Description

This album of postcards contains 38 postcards that were collected by Lydia Joan Birdwood. Joan Birdwood was Field Marshal Lord William Birdwood’s niece. The postcards are addressed to various recipients, including members of Birdwood’s immediate and extended family, between 1902 and 1919. One postcard of note was sent to Birdwood by Lieutenant Colonel Horace Clowes Brinsmead about the signing of the Versailles Peace Treaty.
