Postcards collected by Lydia Joan Birdwood between 1901 and 1918

This album of postcards contains 37 postcards that were collected by Lydia Joan Birdwood. Joan Birdwood was Field Marshal Lord William Birdwood’s niece. The postcards are addressed to various recipients, including members of Birdwood’s immediate and extended family, between 1901 and 1918. One postcard of note in this album is a portrait of Birdwood by Joseph Felix Bouchor with a personal message from the artist.
