Troopship book relating to the First World War service of Second Lieutenant Lindsay Robert Turner, Field Artillery Brigade. This book details the troopship HMAT Port Sydney A15 and those who embarked upon the ship in November 1917, predominantly field artillery reinforcements. It contains a variety of stories and illustrations, with descriptions of the voyage and life on board. It also contains the caricatures and details of several officers on board including: Colonel Frederick John Alderson; Chaplain First Class Albert Thomas Holden; Captain Frederick Whyte Ulyatt; Chief Engineer Alex S. Young; Chief Officer C. J. Jones; Captain J. F. Rogers; Lieutenant H. Holgate; Second Lieutenant Cecil John Gates; and Lieutenant John Hay Ferguson Lipscombe. Turner himself embarked upon the Port Sydney from Melbourne on 9 November 1917.
