Diary of Lindsay Robert Turner, 1918 (Vol. 3)
Description
Diary relating to the First World War service of Second Lieutenant Lindsay Robert Turner, 14th Field Artillery Brigade. The diary contains entries from 6 February 1918 to 5 May 1918 and is the third of seven volumes written by Turner documenting his service during the war. The diary entries cover the completion of Turner’s training in England, his subsequent deployment in April 1918 to the Western Front in France as part of the 5th Division Artillery, and details of the fighting around Villers-Bretonneux that same month. The diary appears to have been transcribed from originals at some stage after his service in the war.
