Description

Personal army papers relating to the First World War service of Lieutenant Colonel Frederick William Gadsby Annand, 7th Field Company Engineers and 2nd Pioneer Battalion. This file contains notices and congratulatory letters regarding his commission, promotion and award of the Distinguished Service Cross (DSC). Also included are a pay book, leave passes, and a demobilisation paper regarding training courses and his equipment. Of particular note is the newsletter “The Grenade” of the Australian Corps of Engineers with an article by Annand and original photographs attached.
