Afghan Mujahideen poster
Description
Afghan Mujahideen poster depicting the leader of the Hezb-i-Islami Afghanistan (HIA), Engineer Gulbabin Hekmatyar with a mosque and flowers above his head and a collage of war planes, Mujahideen soldiers and first and Second World War images of tanks and German soldiers. Australian peacekeepers were involved in de-mining and planning operations in Afghanistan as part of UNMCTT (UN Mine Clearance Training Team) from 1989 to 1993.
