Description
Troops of D Company, 45th Battalion, at their newly captured objective between Bellenglise and Le Verguier, overlooking Ascension Gully, in front of the Hindenburg Outpost Line. They are seen sniping the retreating enemy, who at the time were scampering up the opposite hill slope, in an effort to escape the gun and rifle fire. Identified, first from the right is Private J. O'Hehir.
