Description
Collection compiled by Alan Wood in preparation to write the history of Services Reconnaissance Department (SRD) commissioned by the Z Special Unit Association. This wallet consists of an account handwritten in pencil on two pads relating to operations of the Allied Intelligence Bureau. The pads numbered Pad 5 and 6 consist of appendices and include samples of NEA, SRD, SIA reports, FELO leaflets, New Guinea and New Britain operations, operations and conditions in 1943, changes in organisation, codes and cyphers, communications, training, coast watching in South Pacific area, naval intelligence, first allied Pacific offensive, first Japanese air raids, living and working conditions, and the peak of Japanese offensive October 1942.
