Description
Collection compiled by Alan Wood in preparation to write the history of Services Reconnaissance Department (SRD) commissioned by the Z Special Unit Association. This wallet consists of an account handwritten in pencil on a pad numbered seven and eight. The pad numbered seven includes notes on coast watching activities in Kolombangara and Komu Island, notes from publications including Official History, SRD personnel in operations including Tiger, Lion, Flounder, Mackerel, Walnut, various 'Sun' operations, Semut, Agas, Squirrel, Stallion, Platypus. Pad numbered eight includes notes on Operations Portolizard, Cobra, Adder and Lagarto including a detailed account of a failure to interpret signals indicating capture.
