Collection compiled by Alan Wood in preparation to write the history of Services Reconnaissance Department (SRD) commissioned by the Z Special Unit Association. This wallet consists of an account handwritten in pencil on a pad numbered nine and ten. The pad numbered nine includes notes on personnel, operations, objectives, phases of operations, conclusions on Semut including difficulties, guerrilla activity and strong Dayak anti-Japanese feeling, Dayak fighting ability, cooperation with other forces including the 9th Division Headquarters. Pad numbered 10 includes an account of Platypus I to XII, lessons, personnel and operations, operation in Celebes and Moluccas, China Sea and Malaya, comments on and extracts from publications, Blamey papers, photocopying request.
