Collection compiled by Alan Wood in preparation to write the history of Services Reconnaissance Department (SRD) commissioned by the Z Special Unit Association. This wallet consists of an account handwritten in pencil on a pad numbered eleven and twelve. Pad eleven contains notes on and extracts from Australian War Memorial documents on Japanese Secret and Military Police, SRD intelligence and reports on operations. Pad twelve continues notes on Mosstroops, takeover of SRD and FELO by BBCAU, investigation of missing personnel, and notes from National Archives of Australia files listing SRD survivors, status reports for Allied Intelligence Bureau sections, summaries of SRD parties - place, role and synopses, notes on Chapman's report on Rimau and the Japanese version, Jaywick, Hornbill, J Mission, Agas I, II and III.
