File of letter relating to the Second World War service of 309493 William 'Bill' Dunstan, 363 Battery, 91 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, British Liberation Army. This file has letters written from Bill Dunstan to his Father William Dunstan (a VC winner from the First World War) and mother as well as copies of letters from William Dunstan (as dictated to his secretary) to Bill. These letters written between 1 January 1945 and 27 July 1945 mention: Bill's rifle practice; prediction of when the war will end; stories of some of the officers in Bill's regiment; the compliancy of men not a the front line; the stories of the concentration camps as heard in Australia; the action as Bill's unit enters into Germany; Bill's leave in England and his application to move to the Far East with South East Asia Command (S.E.A.C.).
