Description

File of letters relating to the Second World War service of 309493 William 'Bill' Dunstan, 122 Battery, 178 Field Regiment, Royal Artillery, South East Asian Command. This file has letters written from Bill Dunstan to his Father William Dunstan (a VC winner from the First World War) and mother as well as copies of letters from William Dunstan (as dictated to his secretary) to Bill. These letters, written between 2 August 1945 and 30 December 1945, mention: Bill's leave in London before being transferred to S.E.A.C.; contacts of William's which Bill might use to aid in his returning home to Australia; Bill's trouble in geting posted to a job after the war which is both interesting and will to get him closer to Australia and the issues with and treating of Bill's teeth.
