Description

Final Mission Shipping Container (3 of 4). Footage taken of Forward Operating Base Baylough in the Zabul province of Afghanistan by Captain Jason Otter, C Squadron, 5th Aviation Regiment (5 AVN). Captain Jason Otter later noted: "This Footage follows on from AWM2019.311.8.257, and commences looking down the right side of Australian Army Chinook A15-201 with the M134 mini gun in frame. It is looking to the north away from FOB [Forward Operating Base] Baylough and pans back through west to the main FOB taking in 202 as it completes its unload of internally loaded supplies for the base. The [Apache] AH64 escort remains airborne throughout the resupply providing overhead protection. From :17 Seconds, the imagery returns to the cockpit capturing 201 Aircrew Aircraft Captain, Major Jason Duggan (OC C Sqn), Aircrewman Cpl Richard "Scooter" Wakelin and the Australian War Memorial Official Photographer, Sean Hobbs standing in the rear cabin taking photographs at the rear of the aircraft.
