Final Mission Shipping Container (1 of 4).
Final Mission Shipping Container (1 of 4), Blivet Approach to Baylough. Footage taken at Forward Operating Base Baylough in the Zabul province of Afghanistan by Captain Jason Otter, C Squadron, 5th Aviation Regiment (5 AVN) on their final mission of the deployment. Captain Jason Otter later noted: "This mission is captured from a number of perspectives within the collection including [Apache] AH64 Day Camera and the Australian War Memorial Official Photographer, Sean Hobbs [see P05730]. The vision is captured from the cockpit of [Australian Army Chinook] A15-201, filming the arrival of A15-202 with two Fuel Blivets. The approach is flown into a self generated dust cloud created by the rotor downwash. The Aircraft disappears into the dust to position the Fuel blivets within the LZ [Landing Zone]. Once released, 202 rapidly climbs clear of the dust cloud and positions for a landing forward of 201. AWM2019.311.8.257 then continues to capture a panoramic of the FOB with 202".
