Wallet 3 of 3 - This wallet contains two Japanese-language books relating to the Russo-Japanese War and a menu card with signatures and best wishes addressed to Captain MacHugh.

Japanese-language monthly magazine published by Jiji shimpo, Tokyo, 1 March 1904. This magazine contains short articles and stories for children approximately 11-15 years old. Articles include: Taro's Kodak Camera; Hinamatsuri; Spider's Story; Eskimo; Submarine and submersible; Combat and artillery; British young royals and navy; Mouse-deer; Current Affairs - Russo-Japanese War begins. It also holds writing and drawing competitions on different topics each month.

Japanese-language story book, c.1904. A propaganda story possibly intended for children. It tells the story of a chicken which had been raised by an old man that was stolen by an eagle and a racoon. With the support of a lion and a star, a rabbit hit the eagle's battleship with its own newly launched battleship and sank it. The eagle and racoon surrendered, and return the chicken to the old man along with other offerings.

This wallet also includes a menu from Oddenino's Imperial Restaurant, London. The menu is signed by 16 people in pencil with a note wishing good luck and a safe return, dated 30 January 1904.
