Embroidered silk postcard made in France during the First World War. This postcard has an envelope design and features a central flower in varying shades of pink. Above this flower is a semi-circle of small blue flowers in varying shades. A small card insert features the message "To my dear wife", illustrated with a bouquet of white flowers tied with a red, white and blue ribbon and graced with flagpoles bearing the Red Ensign and French flag.
