Description
Stretcher bearers transporting wounded (right), while other troops (centre) move over a duckboard track running across a muddy Anzac Ridge, to the front line in the Ypres Sector. At this time the attack upon the German positions on Passchendaele was being pressed in spite of disastrous weather conditions and stubborn resistance. Note the water filled shell holes in the foreground and the dugouts in the background (left). This is a digitally combined composite panorama made up of two separate images. It is only available as a digital print. The two images are also available separately at E01123 and E01123A.
