Description
Stretcher bearers (centre) transporting wounded, while other troops (left) move over a duckboard track running across a muddy Anzac Ridge to the front line in the Ypres Sector. At this time the attack upon the German positions on Passchendaele was being pressed in spite of disastrous weather conditions and stubborn resistance. Note the water filled shell holes in the foreground. This is the right hand image in a two part panorama. See E01123P for the combined image.
