Description
Australian troops (far right) moving up to the front line at Anzac Ridge, in the Ypres Sector. At this time the attack upon the German positions on Passchendaele was being pressed in spite of disastrous weather conditions and stubborn resistance. Note the water filled shell holes in the foreground and dugouts in the background (centre). This is the left hand image in a two part panorama. See E01123P for the combined image.
