Australia. September 1941. 405814 Hudson Garth Ainslie RAAF, later of No. 111 Squadron RAF (right) looks at a map with a fellow trainee Bob ?. They are standing beside a Wirraway aircraft. Pilot Officer Ainslie was killed on 2 October 1944 when he was hit by an aircraft which crashed whilst landing at Florence, Italy. He is buried at the Florence British War Cemetery. (Donor P.
