Description
Papers of 9939 Flight Sergeant Harry Tickle who served with 460 Squadron RAAF during the Second World War. The papers comprise Tickle's flying logbook, newspaper cuttings and service documents including identification cards and pay books. The log book has details for the Avro Lancaster 'G for George' during its Third Victory Loan Tour around Australia from 13 March 1945-27 April 1945. Other items include two prisoner of war cards written from April 1944-August 1944, sent from 402602 Flight Officer G D Fitzgerald DFC, who was a prisoner of war of the Germans at Stalag Luft 1 camp.
