His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, in company with Major General (Maj Gen) T W Glasgow CB CMG DSO, General Officer Commanding 1st Division, after having presented medals to members of the 3rd Australian Infantry Brigade. The Prince is seen here leaving 'Ste Ouvriere St Francois-Xavier' after presenting about fifty medals to members of the 1st Division for gallantry in action. Prior to this the Prince inspected a Guard of Honour from the 12th Battalion in Place de l'Hotel de Ville. After the medal presentation HRH visited several billets in the Brigade area and chatted with the men as he passed round. Finally a number of officers were presented to HRH at Brigade Headquarters.
