History / Summary
Associated with the First World War service of Albert Tull. Tull was born at Stroud, NSW, on 20 September 1896 and enlisted at West Maitland, NSW on 20 March 1916. He embarked for overseas service aboard HMAT Beltana on 25 November, arriving in England on 29 January 1917. After a period of training Tull proceeded overseas to France at the end of August and was taken on strength by 3 Battalion on 11 September. Apart from two weeks leave to England in September 1918, Tull remained in France until the end of the war. He returned to Australia on 13 July 1919, disembarking in Sydney on 2 September. He died on 19 November 1998 aged 102 years.
