Description
Collection of letters written by Major Nathaniel Dunbar Barton to his family during the First World War. The letters provide a personal account of service as an officer in the 7th Light Horse Regiment. Commencing in Sydney with the formation of the Regiment, the letters cover service in Egypt, action on the Gallipoli Peninsular, the evacuation and return to Egypt where, reunited with their horses, action continues throughout the Sinai desert and Palestine.
