Gamble, Walter Morris Felix (Captain, MC, 15th Light Trench Mortar Battery b.1896)
Letters relating to the First World War service of Captain Walter Morris Felix Gamble, 7 and 59 Infantry Battalion and 15 Australian Light Mortar Battery. Gamble wrote over 100 letters between July 1915 and November 1918 to his father and mother, four younger brothers and his sister. The letters, often light-hearted and enthusiastic, contain descriptions and anecdotes of his experiences in Egypt, Gallipoli, France and Belgium and the beginning of his service with the Indian Army, travelling through Rangoon, Calcutta and Burma.
