Description

Collection relating to the First World War service of Matron Margaret Anne Gray, British Red Cross (BRC). Collection consists of two autograph books, containing verses, messages, photographs, watercolour and ink sketches, drawings, ribbon bars and badges from her time at the British Red Cross Hospital at Rouen. One of the autograph books is thought to belong to her sister, Sister Lindsay [Alice Fullerton] Gray who also worked at the same hospital. In addition there is a typed carbon copy of a radio broadcast related to her war service, and other associated papers.
