Description
Collection relating to the service of 723 Corporal Frank Jubilee Olle, 5 Battalion, AIF, at sea, Egypt, 1914-1915. Collection consists of a letter written in November 1914 by Corporal Olle while on board HMAT Orvieto en route to Egypt, and a photograph (presumably taken in Egypt) of three Australian soldiers. The photograph depicts (left to right) Sgt. Major Grigson [believed to be Sergeant Major Edmund Douglas Grigson], 723 Corporal Frank Jubilee Olle, Sgt. Robertson [believed to be Sergeant (later Lieutenant) David Robertson], all of 5 Battalion, AIF.
