Pair of fibre identity discs. Both discs are identical in their details: circular, made from pressed fibre with a 4mm diameter hole. Impressed into the obverse are the following details: V505731 P L D MACLEAN; and on the reverse A2.
History / Summary
Associated with the service of NX179838 Captain Lauchlan Duart Maclean. Maclean was born in Sydney on 3 February 1925 and trained as an officer at Duntroon under the cadet number 2395. He enlisted for service with the Second Australian Imperial Force on 13 December 1944. The service number, V50573, on these identity disks is a pre war number predating his Second World War service.
