Pair of aluminium identity discs with attachment chain : Captain L D Maclean, Australian Staff Corps
Description
Pair of aluminium identity discs. Both discs are stamped from aluminium with a 4 mm mounting hole; one is circular, the other an elongated octagon, they are attached to eachother by a 95 mm silver chain. The following details are stamped into both discs: Obverse: 'L D MACLEAN PRES 2395'; and on the reverse 'A2'.
History / Summary
Associated with the service of NX179838 Captain Lauchlan Duart Maclean. Maclean was born in Sydney on 3 February 1925 and trained as an officer at Duntroon under the cadet number 2395. He enlisted for service with the Second Australian Imperial Force on 13 December 1944.
