Fowler, Harry John (Flight Lieutenant, b.1921 - d.1945)
Description
Flying log book relating to the service of 415636 Flight Lieutenant Harry John Fowler, RAAF, 1942-1945. Flt Lt Fowler trained at Cunerdin and Geraldton SFTS in Western Australia, New South Wales and in Victoria at 1 OTU and East Sale. He died in New Guinea, 13 March 1945, when he was serving with 100 Squadron RAAF. The collection contains two photographs of Flight Lieutenant Fowler, with air crew at Tadji, New Guinea where he served with 100 Squadron, RAAF. His log book records that he flew Beaufort Bombers from 1943 to 1945, including A9-557, which is now in the Australian War Memorial's collection. Collection includes a conservation copy of the Flying log book.
