Description
Cadet Brigade Medal awarded to the Champion Team in the Brigade Competition. The obverse shows a map of Australia and 'SENIOR CADETS.COMMONWEALTH MILITARY COMPETITIONS. AUSTRALIA'. The reverse bears the words 'CHAMPION.TEAM. BRIGADE COMPETITIONS' and is engraved '1911-12 Cadet G.L. Trevillian 54TH BATTN'.
History / Summary
Associated with Senior Cadet George Leslie Trevillian. He enlisted for service in the First World War, on 17 August 1914, as 155 Corporal George Leslie Trevillian of 6 Battalion AIF. He was killed in action during the second Battle of Krithia, on Gallipoli, on 8 May 1915. His body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Cape Helles Memorial.
