Pocket grooming kit : Corporal G L Trevillian 6 Battalion, AIF
Description
Pocket grooming kit containing a plastic tortoise shell pattern comb and nail groomers. Brown leather covering is impressed with art-deco type designs, and with a lion and unicorn crest on the interior pocket. There is a small silver plate attached to the linen linen which can be engraved with a name. The leather case fastens with a press stud.
History / Summary
Associated with 155 Corporal George Leslie Trevillian of 6 Battalion AIF. He enlisted on 17 August 1914 and was killed in action during the second Battle of Krithia, on Gallipoli, on 8 May 1915. His body was not recovered and he is commemorated on the Cape Helles Memorial.
