Description
Collection relating to 5017 Captain William Henry John Errol, 12 Company, Australian Army Service Corps, First World War. Collection comprises the book 'An account of the advance of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force July 1917 to October 1918', with annotations made by Captain Errol. The maps in the book are marked with black ink crosses pinpointing Captain Errol's position almost day to day during the campaign in Palestine, 1917-1918. Pasted into the front cover of the book is a typewritten statement of rations marked secret, required for the advance of Gamli. References to the maps indicate the ration list was drawn up prior to 28 October 1917.
