This file, originally part of Book 16, covers 1 August 1917 to 3 September 1917 and includes documents relating to a number of small offensives fought during Passchendaele. The documents cover guidelines on tactics, an analysis of attacking and counter-attacking strategies, information and diagrams on the use of Lewis Guns as anti-aircraft weapons, guidelines on training for offensive operations and a report on German concrete structures built on the Messines Ridge. It also includes recommendations of promotion for officers for positions as Brigade Commanders, Battalion Commanders, Divisional staff and other inter-battalion positions, as well as correspondence between Major Brent Burnell Rodd and Monash regarding Brigadier General Rosenthal's replacing Brigadier General Jobson.
