Stakeholder and Supporter Coordinator - APS 5 - Ongoing
The Australian War Memorial combines a shrine, a world-class museum, and an extensive archive. The Memorial's purpose is to commemorate the sacrifice of those Australians who have died in war or on operational service and those who have served our nation in times of conflict. Its mission is leading remembrance and understanding of Australia's wartime experience.
The Stakeholder & Supporter Coordinator works under limited direction from the Marketing & Partnerships Manager to deliver the marketing, development and growth of the Memorial's Friends program, to maintain administrative and CRM systems, assist with the management of donations, support the delivery of acquisition campaigns and coordinate prospecting events. The Coordinator also provides support to the Communication and Marketing (CAM) team to fully embed and utilise the Memorial's CRM system and achieve the organisation's goals and objectives relating to fundraising, event delivery, marketing, media relations and stakeholder relationship management.
Core Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Marketing and Partnerships Manager:
- Manage the Memorial's Friends program and implement strategies to grow and retain membership.
- Provide customer service to existing and prospective Friends by managing membership queries, renewals, new membership enquiries and advice on upcoming initiatives they may like to support as a Friend of the Memorial.
- Work with the Marketing & Partnerships Manager to support Friends on their donor journey with the Australian War Memorial.
- Maintain and analyse membership and donor administrative systems, including records, filing systems, financial records and other correspondence.
- In conjunction with the Marketing & Partnerships Manager, develop an annual marketing communication strategy and create communication materials that support the implementation of the strategy as required.
- Develop and deliver cost-effective program benefits and engagement initiatives (including Friends enewsletter and guided tours) which enhance the connection and relationship between Friends and the Australian War Memorial.
- Develop, promote and deliver donor and prospective donor functions and events within agreed timeframes and budget in consultation with stakeholders and within relevant approval processes for the Memorial as required.
- Monitor the Friends program budget and contribute to the formulation and achievement of revenue and engagement targets.
- Assist with the migration and maintenance of data into the CRM system in accordance with privacy legislation and the Memorial's data management protocols.
- Provide support to CAM team to fully embed and utilise the Memorial's CRM system and achieve the organisation's goals and objectives relating to fundraising, event delivery, media relations and stakeholder relationship management.
- Other duties as required to support Communication and Marketing team involvement in large Memorial events such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.
Desirable Criteria:
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in marketing, communication, fundraising or managing membership programs are desirable.
