This is a pencil drawing depicting a dehydrated psilocybin mushroom, a most interesting compound and, until very recently, taboo due to associations with illicit drug use. However, medical research has shown promise in its use in mental health conditions. The modern world, despite all its progress, has left many plagued with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder.. But hope now arises for many in the form of this once vilified mushroom. When seen for what it is, simply a fungus, it appears much less menacing, beautiful even. The future could be bright for humankind if the medical industry deems it safe to accept this invitation to better ourselves through connection to nature and each other.
