Late Night Openings
Late night openings of the Commemorative area allowed visitors to see the Memorial in a different light on Friday and Saturday nights during the Centenary of Armistice commemorations.
Voluntary guides offered insights into the space and stories behind just some of those on the Roll of Honour, which lists the names of more than 102,000 men and women who have given their lives for us in war and operations for more than a century.
Visitors heard recorded voices of Australian schoolchildren reciting the names of the men and women who died serving our nation during the First World War. Visitors could also watch as names from the First World War Roll of Honour were projected onto the dome of the Memorial’s Hall of Memory.
