Capturing Ephemera for the First World War Centenary

With the Centenary of the First World War being so widely commemorated around Australia, the Australian War Memorial is eager to capture the ways in which the nation is doing this.

Many local libraries, museums, historical and family history societies are producing exhibitions or publications to mark the centenary and the Memorial would be greatly interested to add exhibition catalogues, brochures, leaflets, and other forms of ephemera to its collection. This will allow us to record the various ways Australians are commemorating the centenary for future generations.

Other members of the public are compiling their research into the form of a publication or website. The Memorial is also proactively preserving as much of these as we can for posterity. Communities are also organising other events such as concerts, plays and musical events to commemorate the First World War and are generating promotional material that would also be of interest.
