St Joseph's visit and donation
Recently we had a visit from St Joseph's School. The students have worked hard to raise money before coming to the AWM on their annual trip, and have generously donated the money they raised to help contribute to the Memorial’s Commemorative Cross program. This allows young students to write a personal message on small wooden crosses, with some of their individual reflections on those Australians who have sacrificed their lives in war and other conflicts. The Memorial will arrange for these crosses to be laid throughout the Centenary period on war graves and memorials where Australian servicemen and women are buried in countries such as Turkey, France, Belgium, Malaysia, Singapore, Greece, South Africa and the Middle East. Thank you to all the staff and students of St Josephs.
