Description
Green woollen blanket. Attached around the edges of the blanket are 18 cotton webbing straps with brass press studs to enable it to be attached to the inside of a sleeping bag. A makers label reads 'C G C F VICTORIA 1963 (broad arrow) 7210-66-011-5817'.
History / Summary
Used by Brian Alabaster during his service with the Australian Citizen's Military Force during the 1960s and 1970s. In 1964 Alabaster enlisted as a private in 3 Battalion. He later served with the Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and was discharged in 1982 with the rank of major.
