Harry Johns standing next to the grave of his friend, SX7616 Private (Pte) Robert Maxwell (Bob) Aitken, C Company, 2/48th Battalion, at Tobruk. Pte Aitken, of Glassop, SA, enlisted in Adelaide, SA, on 2 July 1940. He died of wounds in Libya, on 14 September 1941, aged 29 years.
