Welcome Home banner : Able Seaman R Beevor, RAN
Welcome Home banner made from a cut down white cotton sheet with 'WELCOME / HOME RYAN / I [LOVE] YOU' painted on it. The 'WELCOME' is painted in red lettering, with the remainder of the message being black. The name has had a yellow border painted around each letter. The word 'love' does not appear on the banner, a stylised 'love heart' is painted between the 'I' and 'YOU'.
Welcome Home banner for Able Seaman Ryan Beevor's return from operations as part of the crew of HMAS Newcastle after a six month deployment. The banner was made for Beevor's partner, Alexandra Orr by a friend, to welcome him home. HMAS Newcastle returned to her home port at Garden Island, Sydney on 22 November 2005. Beevor deployed in late May 2005 to the Persian Gulf in HMAS Newcastle as part of Operation Catalyst. He served as a avionics technician, working on the 'Sea Hawk' helicopters with Flight 1, made up of members of 816 Squadron, RAN. Beevor returned to Australia in November 2005 after the completion of HMAS Newcastle's tour of operations.
