Description
Collection of four original items relating to 414807 Flight Lieutenant Thomas Joseph (Tom) Lynch, comprising his RAAF Observer's Air Gunner's and W/T Operator's Flying Log Book, a handwritten diary kept by Lynch whilst a prisoner of war in Germany from 27 April 1944 to January 1945, and two RAAF Member's Pay Books. Formerly Pilot Officer Lynch, he served as a rear gunner with a bomber command crew with 460 Squadron and he was the only survivor when the bomber was shot down near the German-Swiss border in April 1944.
